I need help setting up my PS3 for online use…?

I’m trying to set it up to use a wireless connection. I’ve got as far as entering the WPA key, but when I do I get a message saying ‘a connection to the access point could not be established – check the security settings for the wireless LAN’. How do I find the specific settings it is referring to?

Also, I tried selecting WEP and entering the WPA key there and that seemed to work. It wouldn’t connect when I tested it, but it managed to at least get to the end of the setup menu, despite our wireless transmitter apparently having a WPA code, not WEP… what’s going on? What should I do?

Call your ISP and find out what your WEP passkey is or either let them explain to you how to set up a new one. Thats what I had to do in order to set my PSP and PS3 up the WEP key was the only thing that I had to manualy put in everythign else was automatic.
