How do I imporove speed and strength for sparring?
Yes, so I took all the advice I got from my last question and it helped greatly me now while sparring. I took a good clean-reverse punch to the face and a follow up hook kick. Frankly, it's not as bad as I thought I would as it is and I managed to live. may take several hours trying to get rid of fear getting hit, but I am getting there. And I feel great after sparring again spending a few weeks of making excuses so I do not have to. Of course, I still got beat up pretty bad. But it's not that bad. The thing is, as a blue I belt the lowest ranked student in my class advance. And I unfortunately had to fight the highest-ranking person (a brown belt test away from making in the black.) She is a little shorter than me and I take his hits. The thing is, he will stay moving around everywhere and it totally exhausted me trying to get a good hit. I was wondering if anyone has tips on improving my strength and getting faster.
This is the best and cheapest way to go (ankle and wrist weights) you can get them at walmart or any local fitness store. you can also get it in a neoprene material and that a lot more comfy and a lot snugger fit. Just wear them in your regular work out and even during the day walking around the house and then right before you do fight them off. You wont believe the speed you get. As for durability there is only one way to build and TIME, more and The harder you work the more you build strength. and the weights I'm talking about only about $ 10.00 try it for a little while can do but assistance.
