What according to heart rate & running? no clue?

I am a real fitness freak for the past 5 years, I run every morning and I am professional boxing for 3 years, but during this whole time I've never really experimented with heart rate's & pedometers (not sure have anything to do with it). Can somone please explain to me the basics of check your heart rate while running, how to do it, what the numbers I am aiming to be. I need all the help from now I stop boxing & basic training period, I want to my body in shape. I 84 – 85kgs, 6 feet tall. ATM if that helps

Runs on a heart rate monitor for over 10 yrs., Pedometers are not particularly good for running. Checking your heart rate monitor while running is a really great way to determine the shape your in. I really get into details, but I'll have you 1 example …. Tell your just getting back to running and you go on a track, say 3 miles in a steady 8min. pace. If only getting back to running (this is using your weight, 84kg) likely to see the first mile heart rate around 150, second mile was a little move around 155, and then the last mile is still the same speed will get around 160-165. This is b / c your poor shape and the further you go the same pace (if a little hard) the more it will rise. Now after running consistent for 1-2 months to do the run again …. results might 1st 145 miles, 150 miles 2nd and 3rd miles 150-155 …. It let you know your getting in better shape much over time. Also when you make the running better shape your faster your heart rate decreased after training. Hope this explained it seems.
